Coverage and towing
• Mobile coverage: Track which carriers had service, including “None,” Starlink, and custom carriers.
• Region-aware: Pick carriers for your region (e.g., US, AU, NZ, UK, EU).
• Towing: Mark trips as none, trailer, caravan, etc., and see breakdowns over time.
Maps and weather (optional)
• Geotag destinations: Link a destination to a map coordinate to see pins on your visited map.
• Weather snapshot: For geotagged trips, optionally fetch current conditions for the trip’s date and location (temperature, rain chance/amount, wind, and more).
Personalization
• Appearance: Follow System, Light, or Dark.
• Color themes: Choose a tint/gradient that suits your style.
• Units: Metric or Imperial—distances are stored in km and displayed in your preferred units.
• Defaults: Pre-fill new trips with your preferred Destination Type and Towing.
• Home: Set a “Home” label to help recognize round trips.
Data you control
• On-device first: All data is stored locally on your device.
• Optional iCloud Sync: Enable sync if you want your trips available across your devices—or keep it off to stay completely offline.
• Backup and restore: Export all trips to JSON for safekeeping or migration.
• Verify exports: Inspect a backup file before relying on it.
• Restore options: Replace all or merge with conflict handling (keep existing or overwrite).
• No cloud dependency: The app works fully offline and never requires cloud storage.
